Nyc2newport got their new logo design by running a design contest:
New Castle County needs a new logo

Logo types to explore
We must keep the configuration of our current logo. The castle, ship and wheel, for example, must remain. We'd like to upgrade our current logo to look more modern and web 2.0ish. We must keep within the constraints of maintaining the current configuration but would like to incorporate it within a round circle emblem. The colors should look like the whitehouse and house.gov blue's and white (images included).
US$499 Silver package
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at HK$2,399.
Full copyright with production-ready files for digital and/or print.

99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
