What's your vision?
I am currently running a Kickstarter that is already funded and want to see if I can improve on the card design for our game Steamcraft. I basically want a new graphic design perspective. In general, I a very happy with the top half of our cards. I want the art to be as prominent as possible and like the current overlay with the title/font. What Needs to Be Designed: The bottom half of the card I feel needs work. It would be really nice to have a symbol that represented each card type (Employee, Unit or Building) and it would be nice if the text box had more depth - a more steampunk look or a different font while still being readable. It would also be nice to see the attack / defense represented a different way than just 2 / 3 in the bottom right of unit cards. Things that can be changed: I like our symbols, but would not be opposed to seeing new symbols for the red hammer representing labor, the silver cog representing construction and the gold coin representing victory points. Fonts can also be experimented with though I do like the Roboto Slab font for the title. Things that should NOT be changed: The colored borders around the exterior need to stay and the layout/positions of the card art should not be moved and still be prominent. The overall positions of things should not be altered too much either. I have provided plenty of sample files to work from to make this easy for graphic designers to experiment with. Please take a look at all 3 card types. Employees need more room for text and do not have attack / defense numbers. Units and building cards are essentially laid out the same but are different cards so it would be nice to better visually display this (i.e. a symbol or icon).
