ComiConverse is looking to establish a relationship with an outstanding info-graphics designer, capable of regularly producing the kind of highly engaging, highly sharable content our users want to see. This contest is a first step towards establishing that relationship.
Part of this is going to be on the honour system. So if you're not at least interested in forming a long-term relationship with the sponsors of this contest, please take your talents elsewhere.
The winning bid and artist will search out a topic from the comics and pop-culture universe. It could be an info-graphic based around the number of zombies killed per episode in the the Walking Dead TV Series. It could be an info-graphic based on "10 Things You Didn't Know About Darkwing Duck". It could be almost entirely centred around numbers, or it could highly visual.
It could be heavy on "info" or heavy of "graphic".
Its completely up to you.
Whatever your idea, the ability to find a cool topic and innovate around it, is at least as important as any other part of this contest.
For this job, cool topics count just as much as cool art. Once our candidate is selected, we can help you with ideas, but for this contest we need to see who can search out great ComiContent on their own.
We want someone to impress us!
We are a flexible and ambitious company that appreciates artists and treats them well, but generally speaking this prize is more than the rate we are going to be paying our full-time contractor, so all applicants should be aware of that in advance.
This info-graphic will be the basis of a written online article, but its main goal is to be shared as widely as possible across the internet via Twitter, Facebook and our other social networks. As such, it must make prominent use of the ComiConverse name and logo in manner that will not be edited out by the standard Twitter and Facebook photo crops. The "Comics Alliance" info-graphic in our attachments is a good example of this.
We are not locked into how our name and logo are to be used, but people have to know it came from ComiConverse when it gets shared. Ideally it would use our identity creatively.
We are going to be available to encourage and give feedback to any artist that pursues this prize, as we are really hoping this leads to a long-term professional relationship that can grow and expand month-by-month and year-by-year. We are looking for a real artistic partner. Is that you?
Ok all you talented artists out there... Its time to ComiConverse!
Ready. Set. Go!
See you out there!
