Graphic Design for Energy-Themed Game Cards

Games & Recreational
Game of Energy is a board game that puts all of the world's energy industries together, requiring each player to find a way to generate enough energy to avoid the coming energy crisis, but to do so in an environmentally-conscious manner. All the stats in the game are based on real-life, so it provides for some interesting gameplay. The game is a "euro game" and will target gamers that regularly purchase more higher-end board games for $59+. Age of players will be ages 14 and up, though the target market is 18-44. Majority of customers will be in the US, but many are elsewhere, as well.
What's your vision?
*** ALL MAJOR DETAILS ARE IN THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT. *** We currently have a series of cards we've been using for playtesting the Game of Energy board game, but they are merely prototype art/graphic design cards. We're not a big fan of how any of them look, really, and we would like a complete redo of the layout, as well as the minor amounts of art involved with these cards. There are 5 different types of cards, so we are requesting 5 different layout templates. These are all detailed in the attached document that shows what we have, and tells the approximate look we're wanting. You only need to have placeholder text, but be sure that the placeholder text you have provided (size, style, etc.) will allow our cards with the largest amount of font to fit inside of the area you have designated for text. This text for testing is provided in the document. There will also need to be 4 simple emblems made to represent 4 different areas from the game board on certain cards. These areas are: flatlands (like midwest US), shoreline (some land with ocean or really large lake; at least 1 of the 2 should be with ocean), tundra (some snow and rough terrain; perhaps with some tall mountains like the Himalayas, but not only mountains here), and mountains (more like the Appalachian mountains). There will also be a 5th emblem for a currency symbol. An example of well-designed emblems is present on the game called Small World, shown in the attached document. The emblems will go on various cards. There will only need to be 3 different card backs designed: one to represent the "Grid" cards (reference to the electrical grid, and those cards affect the industries generating power for the grid in the game), one to represent the "Investment" cards (players can choose to draw one to either lose or gain currency), and one to represent the "Captains of Industry" cards (the character cards players choose at the beginning of the game that have various abilities). Many more details can be found in the attached document.
I understand that the attached document seems a bit daunting, but it is spaced out and organized in a way to where you can easily focus on 1 art item at a time. I also tried to fit as many details as possible into the document so that you will have a good understanding of the overall project and what we are looking for with the cards. The first few pages give a background of the project, the desired art requirements, and the expected files to be delivered. After that, you will see some similar art from designs already made on other products that we like. Then you will see the emblems section and the 5 card types sections--these go into the specific designs we are requesting. These sections are the project deliverables. The art we currently have finished for the game is limited, so there isn't much to show you with our game art, but hopefully the attached document will be explicit enough to give you guidance on the project specifics. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! In fact, I encourage a lot of communication, even if it's just to say hello! Don't be shy :)
