What's your vision?
We have a great aerial photo of the grounds of our great facility (see upload below). We also have a basic line sketch of where each of the playground areas are (also below), but we are looking to create an eye-catching marketing piece that will feature our great facilities as there are no other facilities in our area that can compare with what we have. What we would like from you, the illustrator, is to take this aerial image, and line drawing, and create a fun, whimsical illustrated map, that will highlight the numerous areas that the children have to play each week. We are really thinking something along the lines of a theme park map look (think Disney or Universal type maps – you can google “Disney map” or “Universal map” and get an idea of the look we are going for). We had originally just thought about using the aerial photo in the marketing piece, but the problem became that the great big trees hid much of the play areas, which is great, because the kids get to play in the shade all summer, but not so great because the aerial shot does not show all of the great features. We also got another aerial shot taken in the winter with all of the leaves off of the trees (which is also uploaded below, but it was just a little too bare and sparse with all of the great color gone. We decided to go with an illustration to capture everything we wanted. In this illustration, we do not want to remove the trees completely, but perhaps, just up-play the playground areas, like you would see in the theme park maps. Our goal with this is to really highlight our facilities. We want parents who are looking for a childcare facility to see the great areas available for their children. Please check out our website: www.achildstouch.com to see the styles and colors that we are currently using. Also, please look through the Photo Tour, as these are in depth looks at the areas that will be represented broadly in this illustration. This will give you a great idea of what we have to offer, and what we are trying to communicate in this project. The illustration may also be incorporated into the website as well, if it ends up being something that we really love. It must be a vector Adobe Illustrator Design. We look forward to seeing some of the great, creative concepts and ideas. We are open to see what you come up with, and will be sure to give feedback. The marketing piece will feature this illustration as a focal point on the inside, and the entire piece will be a fold out, similar to the theme park maps, so the final size of the illustration will be quite large (somewhere around the 11x17 to 11x22 size). Please keep this in mind when designing. Thank you.
