Polarized sunglasses are terrific for protecting eyes from excessive light and glare- and are seen everywhere in summer. But what about winter? The sun is actually closer in winter and the angle lower- creating bright days with lots of glare. But for some reason, many people stop wearing their sunglasses in winter. They become... Winter Squinters!
Goal: promote the use of sunglasses in winter. We want a friendly looking, gender neutral character/mascot of some kind. (may be humanoid, animal, or other form)
The character will be referred to as "The Winter Squinter". We want to communicate this idea: BEFORE (without sunglasses, squinting, uneasy) vs. AFTER (with Mirrored sunglasses, no squinting, happy!)
NOTE: we only need the character design to demonstrate the Squinting (no sunglasses) vs. not Squinting (wearing sunglasses) aspect- not the idea of Winter itself.
To emphasize: The character doesn't need to (and should not!) embody weather-related cues (snow, ice, scarves, etc) because Winter is a time of year that also occurs in warm climates. (The settings that the character will eventually be placed in will be tasked with showing Winter in various climates.)
