Borg Motorsports designs and sells race specific parts for vehicles (mainly Corvettes). We offer custom solutions to fit specific racing regulations. Currently we specialize in suspension components, but will be branching into other areas of the vehicle as well as offering street versions of our parts.
What's your vision?
The current test vehicle is a yellow 2004 Corvette. This will also be the main form of advertising for the company as it is seen competing and testing at racing events, is occasionally featured in magazines, and will be used for promotional events. The car is towed on an open trailer to a dozen events around the country and usually gets a lot of attention on these drives. I am looking to have a vinyl/wrap design made for the car to highlight the brand. The design should feature the brand name and logos (logos included below) as well as the colors. It should be easy to identify whether the vehicle is still or moving. Mostly, it should just be exciting and make people eager to be involved with the brand. Otherwise, the design can be very open in terms of style. Some consideration to the cost of manufacture of the final design would be appreciated, but at this point, we should be able to make the best design happen. On the technical side of things, the vehicle will need certain mandatory logos/stickers per the racing rules. The most important item is the class number and name. This will be 199 STU. The numbers need to be at least 10" high with a minimum stroke of 1.25" or 10% of height, whichever is larger. The class letters need to be half the height of the numbers with a minimum stroke of 0.75" or 10% of letter height, whichever is larger. Required stickers are seen in the attached photos. Both letters and numbers should be easy to read from a distance (ie. high contrast versus background). The wheels on the car are the competition wheels and will be black. This can potentially be changed, but in the interest of keeping within the budget, no change is desired. The logos on the car are all required, but placement is generally very open. These stickers also change depending on the race series requirements for the year, current sponsors, etc. Leaving some room in the design to allow the addition of sponsors is appreciated (for example, a line along the lower rocker panel works well). No additional logos other than the Tire Rack banner are allowed on the windshield. Side windows must be clear. The rear windshield is open as long as the rear view mirror is still usable. I have included photos of the actual car, photos of competitor cars (Red Corvette, Silver 350Z), and example cars that received good feedback from customers (Compuware Corvette, Trophy Truck, Aston Martin).
