We have a draft website which you can use as a reference point:
What is Dryftt and how does it work?
Dryftt is an independent rideshare service connecting drivers to people who need a ride. Like UBER, Lyft and Sidecar, Dryftt uses a dispatch service to create these connections -- but that is where the similarity ends. UBER, especially, uses a triangular business model with drivers and passengers at the base and investors/dispatch at the top.
UBER’s Business Model
[picture of triangle model here]
The problem with a triangle is that there is natural inclination is to always put someone at a disadvantage. In the case of UBER and other rideshare companies, that’s the driver – especially now that UBER and Lyft are locked into a highly competitive price war with the objective of driving each other out of the business. This means the drivers are making significantly less per fare and are working longer hours. So there’s more wear and tear on their vehicles (and themselves), but less affordability to maintain costs of vehicle upkeep, not to mention the lack of good earnings. The result: engine malfunctions causing unreliability, lack of cleanliness, and disgruntled drivers which all contribute to lower ratings. It’s a vicious cycle.
Dryfft was created and founded by drivers for drivers. We understand that the shortest – and most advantageous -- distance between two points is a straight line. By eliminating the investors, we’ve turned ridesharing into a direct connection between the driver and his/her passenger.
