Content on the back (include “About the Author”):
I lived in a perfect house, surrounded by a white picket fence, in a beautiful suburb just outside the city limits of Stockholm. I had a caring, beautiful and successful husband. Our two children, a boy and a girl, completed our family. At 32, I had already had an amazing career and was also well on my way to building a successful business of my own. I had everything I’d ever wanted. I had succeeded in life. So why wasn’t I happy?
This is the story about little Miss Sunshine, whose genuine, beaming smile grew a little more frozen with each effort to do the right thing in life, to achieve what was expected of her – and to fit in. It’s the story about how a little girl’s universe of infinite possibilities shrunk to make way for a world filled with expectations and a pre-perfected roadmap to success.
But this is also the story of a woman’s journey from a successful – yet deeply unhappy – life to LIVING – in genuine happiness. A life beyond constant physical pain and endless self-judgment. A life beyond other people’s ideas of right and wrong, beyond everyone else’s expectations. This is the story about how I came to shine again. A story about how a universe of infinite possibilities proved to be more than a little girl’s fantasies. And how happiness came to be something very different and much greater than any of the definitions I had picked up along the way.
This is not an instruction manual. My wish is that this book will inspire you to ask yourself questions about what is true for you, what you really long for and what you could choose when you look beyond all of the expectations and the judgments of right and wrong.
