What's your vision?
Title: Talking to Crazy Subtitle: How to Deal with the Irrational and Impossible People in Your Life Author: Mark Goulston Hardcover, 6-1/8 x 9-1/4" ----Design Information---- Audience: Adults who regularly encounter difficult and/or irrational people in their personal or work lives. This is NOT a book for dealing with extreme situations such as psychotics — just your every day kind of people that drive you nuts. Over all “look and feel": We want something that calm, helpful, and contemporary, with a touch of compassion and warmth. The title asks for a bit of humor, BUT this is a seriously helpful book and it needs to feel that way, so maybe a little bit of humor. I think we’re picturing a fairly large title, probably upper-and-lower case and either an extended serif or a warm-feeling sans serif. Can also picture a hand-written title, maybe just on the word Crazy. Or maybe just a few hand-written letters. Possible imagery: We’re open to a small image, but we’re more interested in a clever way of treating the title itself so that IT becomes the image—probably with the word Crazy. Published books with similar feel: I’m attaching a compliation called Diffcult,Narcsst,BPD. These are nearly all WAY TOO DATED/OLD-FASHIONED (except the Narcisist one which is too anemic/faded), but they do show a good combination of a kind of calm, mental-health book with an ELEMENT of something that hints at the problems.
