Connor and his brother Joshua’s parents were murdered in cold blood right in front of them during the deadly Azuran invasion. The only clue to the killer was a strange mark left on Connor’s arm and the terrifying power that the murderous Azuran had wielded. In order to avenge their death, Connor was willing to give up some of his humanity to become stronger than he could ever imagine. However, as he closes in on the mysterious and merciless killer, he discovers a horrific conspiracy orchestrated by a warmongering god.
Verse Aeya: Brotherhood is an epic tale set on a distant planet of a boy’s rise to heroism. Forged in the fire of battle, Connor must come to terms with his new powers and responsibilities and strike a balance between vengeance and justice to save humanity.
Context: Humans have settled on a new planet in a distant galaxy hundred of years after they laid waste to Earth. On the new planet are the planet's other inhabitants, Azurans and Skourans, who wields energy and the natural forces (water, fire, etc.) The tension between the Azurans and Humans were later discovered to be part of a grander scheme of a conflict between four gods embodying four different philosophies and ideologies. They create their people and determine which among them and its hero will be the one that should unite the world.
The four gods and their races all have a unique theme. Humans fight with technology, building from nature while Azurans uses the natural forces. Zoans are two to four-handed beasts that is the physical embodiment of brute force and Djinns are telepathic creatures that has immense mind powers. Magic (fire/water) is just one of four element so it's not a central theme, however I do like the concept of clashing.
