I'm a writer. I've e-published a memoir on Kindle and I'm now in the process of e-publishing a novel. The novel's title is "Point Hill"
What's your vision?
This is a cover for a novel to be published as an e-book on Amazon Kindle. It is a work of literary fiction, part psychological exploration, part thriller, with elements of a ghost story thrown in. The action takes place mainly in London, in the borough of Greenwich, in the run up to the NATO bombing of Kosovo in 1999. There is also a section of the book set in a refugee camp on the Kosovo-Albania border. The action is centred around aid worker Rys, teacher Andrea and Mark, an actor whose son is taught by Andrea, as their lives hurtle out of control. The chapters' intros hint to a different type of crash waiting to happen, a rail derailment which will be the dramatic climax of the story. The book is also concerned with the theme of child abuse and the fate of two children, the abused little boy who grows up to be Mark, and a little girl taught by Andrea, who will die tragically towards the end of the book. An image that springs to my mind is the London street sign (Point Hill SE 10) large enough to be the title but also designed to resemble the silhouette of a train on a railway track , with a shadowy figure of a child somewhere on the track or near it, clearly 'in peril', and some hint of war/bombing/air raids in he background perhaps behind mountains in shadow behind the London skyline.
Point Hill, the tile of the book, is a real place in London SE10. Perhaps a rendition of the London street sign could be used as the title. Please note: Some time ago I published a non-fiction book, a memoir, with a cover producer by a creative working on 99 Design. (The title was Leaving Azzurro Behind, by Paola Buonadonna). I was very happy with that cover but one of the lessons I learned that first time round was that I'd like both the title and my name to be much more prominent so as to be visible when the cover is viewed as a tile on Amazon.
