How j31 started their banner ad journey
Who are you known as?
Micronet Communications, Inc.
What industry do you think your business is most related to?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are a Frequency Coordination company that helps Wireless ISPs, Utility Providers and TelCo's find microwave frequencies to establish wireless data networks. Think of your cell phone and using the internet on there. There's a wireless backhaul that data comes from. We do that. While Frequency Coordination is our primary business, we also do Frequency Protection, where we monitor, review and respond to other companies looking to establish networks within range of our protection clients networks. Our website: http://www.micronetcom.com. The demographic that we'll be going after is 30-50 yr old men running Wireless ISPs tuning in to watch an internet based radio show. Most of these men are engineers or have backgrounds in engineering but run their companies.
What inspires you and how do you envision the design for your business?
We are looking for a small banner that will be circulated every 10 seconds on ISP Radio, an online feature 'radio' show, during their shows and replays of their shows on http://www.ispradio.com. The features of the banner: Slot Size: 75px height by 500px width, Slot Rotation: 10 second intervals, Dynamic: .gif (what we're looking for). We'd like something that moves, could be bright for a second, but that catches their eyes and is distracting enough they keep looking at it every time it cycles in. We'd like our Brand Colors to be used where possible. (http://micronetcom.com/brandguide/colors.html). We want to advertise our Frequency Protection service and will be giving a 6 month free trial of it to anybody who responds to the ad. My idea in my minds eye was to have a green hilly earth looking land with a lattice tower on top sending out a wireless signal on the left with a pan out to see another tower on top of a similar green hilly earth looking land sending a wireless signal towards that tower. Then a force field comes and blocks the signal with Micronet's logo superimposed lightly over the tower inside the force field. Then it pans out and the copy shows "Keep Interference Free with a 6 Month Trial of Frequency Protection from Micronet" or something along those lines.
This is a very rough idea which is why I'm enlisting the help of more experienced folks. Our other print ads have featured knights in shining armor too. Feel free to be creative and let your imagination run rampant. Just keep in mind the service we're offering is Frequency Protection as a 6 month Free Trial and the banner ad needs to move to catch their eye initially.
